Common View

This option provides you a common interface to setup property/categories for OpenPlant Modeler and OpenPlant PID.

Accessed from: Configuration > Workset > Common View

The Common view UI below displays component hierarchy view as defined in OpenPlant Schema. If you make any changes here, it will be saved directly to OpenPlant_3D.01.08.ecschema, OpenPlant.01.08.ecschema and OpenPlant_PID.01.08.ecschema schemas located at ...OpenPlant CONNECT Edition\Configuration\WorkSpaces\OpenPlantExample\WorkSets\%Workset%\Standards\OpenPlant\Schemas

Setting	Description
Property Search/Filter	There are two buttons which can determine how the class properties are displayed: Search - The Search option can be used to search for specific classes and relationships in the tree. Enter a search phrase into the field and click the Search icon. The search will bring you to the first item containing the phrase. Continue to click the icon to scroll through all of the instances containing the search phrase. Tip: Press `<Enter>` into the Search field to go to desired classes. Filter - The Filter option can be used to filter the results displayed in the tree. Enter a criteria into the field by which to filter the class properties and click the Filter icon. Only the items which satisfy the filter criteria will display. For instance, if you type in Roller, only class properties with Roller in the name will display as shown,
Move Property	The directional arrows allow you to move the selected property up or down within its category.
Move Property to other category	Select to move the property to a different category. Change a Property's Order in a Category - To change the order in which a property is displayed in a particular category, select the property and click either the Up or Down arrow to move the property. Move a Property to a New Category - To move a property to a different category, select the property and click the button to display the following dialog: Categories - Select new category for the property from the list. Display Name - Actual display name for the category. This is not editable. Priority - Sets a list order in which the category is to be displayed. Select a category from the drop down list and click OK to move the property. Once the property is moved, you can use the directional arrows to move the property to its correct order if necessary.
Edit Category	Click to add or edit categories. Edit a Category - To edit a category click the Edit Category button to display the following dialog. In the dialog, you can edit the Display Name and display Priority of the selected Category. Additional options allow you to Add or Delete categories as well. Categories - Displays a list of predefined categories for the class. Add Category - Displays the Category Name dialog allowing you to create a new category. Enter a name and click OK to add to the Categories list. Delete Category - Deletes the selected category. Display Name - The name that is displayed in the Place Component/Element Info dialogs. Priority - Sets a list priority for the category to be displayed. Show Category as expanded - Determines whether the category's properties will display by default.

Important: From Update 11, all category and property priority custom attributes have been moved from supplemental schemas to primary schemas This will give you a much better and consistent control over property categorization. Moving these custom attributes to primary schemas also makes it now possible to move category information to PlantSight.

Launching Property Display for OpenPlant Modeler or OpenPlant PID will give you an option to move all the property categorization to primary schemas. The following dialog appears launching Property Display.
